Northwest Community Bank sought to enhance its mortgage experience and streamline its loan processes. After implementing nCino Mortgage in June 2022, the Bank has achieved an "amazingly" easy mortgage experience, increased customer engagement and faster loan closings with less effort from loan officers.
Headquartered in Winsted, Connecticut, Northwest Community Bank is a state-chartered bank with a rich history going back to 1860. Originally founded as Winsted Savings Bank, the Bank now has 14 branches and $1.1B in assets.
The Challenge
Northwest Community Bank has a long-standing history of excellence in customer service, with a goal to provide a mortgage experience rivaling that of Amazon or Domino’s. However, as the Bank continued to grow, its loan origination system (LOS) and point-of-sale (POS) experience had become more and more disconnected.
“It was frustrating for our customers and for our loan officers. We needed a technology solution that would better support smooth point-of-sale experiences like the loan application process and the loan closing.”
Northwest and nCino Mortgage
While considering mortgage technology providers, a current customer recommended the nCino product, which bolstered the Bank's initial good impression of nCino. In addition, the Bank was able to watch one of its correspondent lenders go through the implementation process. These experiences helped seal the deal, and the Bank chose nCino to help it reach its goals.
In March of 2022, the implementation journey began, and in June of 2022, Northwest went live on the nCino platform. With nCino Mortgage, the Bank is using features such as eClosing to achieve results including:
An “amazingly” easy mortgage experience
